Transfer Students
Are you currently attending another institution and thinking about transferring to the Mike Wiegers Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at K-State? Are you thinking about transferring to K-State after starting your academic career at another institution? No problem! At Kansas State University, you’ll find a friendly, welcoming environment for new students. We have events, services, programs and scholarships just for transfer students. We have many transfer students in our department at K-State.
If you are currently attending another institution or planning to attend another institution before coming to K-State, some consideration needs to be given to course equivalency. Many students are disappointed when they find out many of the courses they have completed from another institution do not transfer to K-State. This problem can be greatly remedied if knowledge of the degree program the student is planning to transfer into at K-State is known, and if careful selection of courses is given at the alternative institution. *No more than 12 credit hours of courses in electrical and computer engineering may be transferred to Kansas State University for credit toward a bachelor's degree in either electrical engineering or computer engineering. Further, those courses selected for transfer credit must be equivalent to courses in the following list and must be such that the prerequisites for the listed course are also satisfied: ECE 210, ECE 241, ECE 410, ECE 525, ECE 557, ECE 581. Any courses transferred must be taken from ABET accredited programs.
