Professional experience
Haosong Chen is an Advanced Instructor in the Mike Wiegers Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Kansas State University. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University in 2021, followed by a Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University in 2024. She joined K-State as an Advanced Instructor in August 2024. Chen's research focuses on the gene delivery with lipid nanoparticles through blood-brain barrier on a 3D tissue-engineered brain micro-vessel. She develops human induced brain microvascular endothelium transwell system to quantify and optimize mRNA/pDNA transcytosis delivery. At K-State, Chen has taught courses in Medical Imaging (BME 674), BME Skill Development Experience (BME 390), Material Science and Engineering (CHE 354, 355, 356) and Computational Techniques in Chemical Engineering (CHE 416).
