Professional experience
Dr. Amulya Sreejith received her master’s degree in power systems from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, India, and her Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India. Prior to joining Kansas State University, she worked as a Research & Development Scientist at GRIDsentry Private Limited, a power cybersecurity company. She serves on the editorial boards of Frontiers in Energy Research and American Journal of Electrical Power and Energy Systems and is a reviewer for various journals including IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, and IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications.
Research
Dr. Sreejith's research focuses on power system resilience and reliability, advanced control strategies, and the cybersecurity of operational technology and power networks. Her broader research interests include fundamental AI algorithms, optimization and data-driven approaches for enhancing the reliability, security, and resilience of modern electric grids.
Academic highlights
Dr. Sreejith has authored and/or co-authored one textbook on Smart grid cybersecurity, 5 journal papers and more than 10 conference papers. She holds a US patent and a government of India patent for a substation cybersecurity product. She is a Co-PI on an NSF project for grid analysis and an active member on IEEE PES task forces on machine learning datasets and resilience metrics.
