Curriculum Degree Maps (formerly flowcharts)

*All Biomedical, Electrical, and Computer Engineering majors must complete CIS 209 - Computer Programming for Engineers in the C Language to meet graduation requirements.*

K-State Core Curriculum (Fall 2024 or after)

Degree maps for the K-State Core curriculum can be found on the K-State Engineering Undergraduate Degree Maps website.

All students entering K-State for Fall 2024 or after, are automatically on the K-State Core curriculum.

Students take courses that cover seven disciplinary areas as a part of the K-State Core requirements, which are shown on degree maps and DARS for the K-State Core curriculum. Many mandatory courses for degree requirements fulfill these criteria. Note that requirements #5 - Social & Behavioral Sciences and #6 - Arts & Humanitites are required to be from two different subject areas from the approved course listing.

It's recommended that students meet with their academic advisor prior to initiating a change of curriculum.

K-State 8 Curriculum (prior to Fall 2024)

Degree maps for the K-State 8 curriculum can be found on the K-State Engineering Undergraduate Degree Maps Archive website.

Students take courses that cover all of the K-State 8 areas. Many mandatory courses for degree requirements fulfill these criteria.

Humanities and Social Science (H&SS) Electives

Students take H&SS electives as a part of the K-State 8 curriculum. These electives are required to be courses selected from the College of Engineering's approved H&SS Course List.

The College of Engineering's K-State 8 Matrix is helpful for selecting H&SS courses that meet the required K-State 8 areas.
